After a winter of being closed up and inside, spring is now upon us and with spring often comes a recharging of life! With more sunlight and warmer days ahead, the birds fly back, flowers begin to bloom, and trees and grass begin turning green.
But in a world filled with constant stimulation, obligations, and distractions, it’s so easy for our lives to accumulate clutter—not just in our homes but also in our minds, emotions, and spirits too. This clutter, whether physical or energetic, prevents growth. It weighs us down, creating stagnation and preventing us from healing more effectively and efficiently, and feeling our best!
When we take the time to clear the clutter in all aspects of our lives, we create space for new energy, fresh perspectives, and a deeper sense of peace and clarity.
The 4 Types of Clutter and How They Affect Us
1. Physical Clutter: The Space Around You
Physical clutter is the most obvious form of clutter, but its impact goes beyond just aesthetics. Our environment directly influences our mental and emotional states. A cluttered home or workspace can make us feel overwhelmed, scattered, and stuck in the past.

How to Clear It:
- Adopt the “one in, one out” rule—whenever you bring something new into your space, let go of something else.
- Regularly declutter one area at a time—start with a single drawer or closet and build momentum.
- Let go of physical possessions that represent an “old version” of life. Perhaps you’ve gotten divorced, and you need to let go of the old furniture that was bought when you got married? Perhaps you are an empty nester, and its time to clear out the kids old bedroom and transform it into a reading room, exercise room, or office for yourself? Perhaps you have a closet, a room, or garage full of stuff from years gone by… and its taking up valuable space that you could put to good use for something that will actually serve you well right now?
- Donate items that no longer serve you, giving them new life with someone else.
- Keep only things that bring joy, beauty, or functionality to your life.

Energy Impact:
Clearing physical clutter helps lighten your environment, making room for fresh energy to flow. You may feel more motivated, less stressed, and even experience a boost in creativity.
2. Mental Clutter: The Space in Your Mind
Mental clutter includes racing thoughts, worries, over-analysis, and the never-ending to-do lists that run through our heads. This type of clutter can leave us feeling exhausted, distracted, and unable to focus.

How to Clear It:
- Practice mindfulness or meditation to quiet the mental chatter.
- Use journaling as a tool to release thoughts and gain clarity.
- Set priorities and focus on one task at a time instead of multitasking.
- Unplug from technology periodically to give your mind a break.
- Schedule a session in the Energy Enhancement System (EESystem).
Energy Impact:
A clear mind allows you to be more present, productive, and at peace. You’ll feel a greater sense of mental clarity, decision-making will become easier, and stress levels will decrease.
3. Emotional Clutter: The Space in Your Heart
Unprocessed emotions, worry, lingering resentment or frustration, and unresolved conflicts create emotional clutter that can weigh heavily on our energy field. When we hold onto this stuff, we block our body’s ability to heal and experience joy and love fully, and we wind up attracing more of what we DO NOT want!

How to Clear It:
- Practice forgiveness—not for others, but for your own peace.
- Express your emotions in a healthy way—talk to a trusted friend, therapist, or coach.
- Engage in movement-based practices like yoga, exercise, dancing, or walking to release stuck energy.
- Allow yourself to feel emotions without judgment, then let them go.
Energy Impact:
Releasing emotional clutter opens your heart to love, connection, and joy. You’ll feel lighter, more balanced, and able to attract more positive experiences into your life.
4. Spiritual Clutter: The Space in Your Soul
Spiritual clutter often manifests as disconnection from purpose, feelings of emptiness, or a lack of alignment with your true self. It can show up as feeling lost, uninspired, or stuck in repetitive cycles that don’t serve you.

How to Clear It:
- Spend time in nature to reconnect with your essence.
- Engage in spiritual practices that resonate with you—prayer, meditation, breathwork, or energy healing.
- Sing! Yes, I said SING! Listen to music and sing songs that have positive lyrics and lifts your spirit!
- Let go of limiting beliefs and outdated narratives that no longer align with your growth.
- Surround yourself with people and environments that uplift your spirit.
Energy Impact:
Clearing spiritual clutter creates space for deeper intuition, a stronger connection with your higher self and the divine, and a renewed sense of purpose. You’ll feel more aligned, empowered, and in flow with life!
The Ripple Effect of Clearing Clutter
When we commit to decluttering all areas of our lives, we experience profound shifts. Our energy becomes lighter, our emotions more balanced, and our ability to manifest what we desire strengthens. We feel more connected—to ourselves, to others, and to the divine flow of life.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or out of alignment, start with small steps. Clear one drawer, one thought, one emotion at a time. The energy you free up will create momentum, making it easier to continue clearing the way for more joy, abundance, and peace in your life.
